CHEMICAL CLEANING
When scale, deposits, and fouling build up inside equipment, performance drops and downtime increases. Cascade Energy Services uses specialized chemical cleaning methods to dissolve and remove contaminants safely without damaging critical equipment.
Our team designs customized chemical applications based on the specific system, contaminant type, and operating conditions. The result is a thorough clean that restores efficiency, improves flow, and extends the life of your equipment.
Restore System Performance with Precision Chemical Cleaning

CHEMICAL CLEANING METHODS
CIRCULATION & BATCH CLEANING
WHAT IT IS: Controlled chemical solutions are circulated through pipelines or equipment to dissolve deposits and contaminants.
HOW IT WORKS: Chemicals are pumped through the system for a set duration, allowing them to reach all surfaces. Flow rates and concentrations are carefully monitored to ensure thorough cleaning without damaging equipment.

Key Benefits:
-
Effective for pipelines, vessels, and heat exchangers
-
Dissolves scale, rust, and fouling evenly
-
Controlled process reduces risk of corrosion or damage

CHEMICAL UNIT SCRUBBER
WHAT IT IS: Onboard scrubber system that neutralizes Hâ‚‚S and toxic gases during sour system washes or chemical cleaning.
HOW IT WORKS: A sealed tank sparger is submerged directly in the chemical solution, allowing gases to be dispersed through the liquid. As vapors pass through the solution, they are scrubbed and neutralized before they can be released, ensuring safe and consistent chemical cleaning performance.
Key Benefits:
-
Protects personnel and the environment from hazardous emissions
-
Enables safe chemical cleaning of sour systems
-
Monitored for optimal efficiency and safety
-
Reduced equipment required onsite
VAPOUR PHASE CLEANING
WHAT IT IS: A chemical cleaning method that uses vapourized chemicals to treat surfaces inside equipment where liquid circulation is limited.

HOW IT WORKS: Chemicals are injected into the vessel along with steam from a generator, which vapourizes the solution. The chemical vapour penetrates hard-to-reach surfaces, dissolving deposits and fouling that cannot be accessed by conventional methods.

Key Benefits:
-
Reaches low-access or complex internal geometries
-
Efficient for multi-compartment vessels or tight piping
-
Reduces the need for manual entry into confined spaces

FOAMING
WHAT IT IS: A specialized foaming cleaning method that uses environmentally friendly chemicals mixed with water and compressed air. The chemical formulation is selected based on the material being cleaned and is applied to equipment such as fins, piping, and other associated surfaces.

HOW IT WORKS: The foam clings to surfaces, allowing the chemical to break down deposits gradually while minimizing runoff.

Key Benefits:
-
Targeted cleaning for internal surfaces
-
Reduces chemical exposure and waste
-
Environmentally responsible process
HEATING & COOLING ASSITED CLEANING
WHAT IT IS: Temperature-controlled chemical cleaning to accelerate reactions and improve fouling removal.
HOW IT WORKS: Chemical solutions are heated or cooled depending on the application. Heat accelerates dissolution of wax, grease, or scale, while controlled cooling prevents damage to temperature-sensitive equipment.
Key Benefits:
-
Speeds up cleaning of stubborn deposits
-
Protects sensitive equipment
-
Maximizes efficiency of chemical cleaning

NEUTRALIZATION
WHAT IT IS: A process used to safely adjust the pH of harsh or caustic cleaning chemicals, ensuring they can be handled or disposed of safely. Neutralization is essential when cleaning tanks or equipment that have held strong acids or bases.

HOW IT WORKS: Acid or base is added to the chemical solution to bring the pH into a safe range (typically 7–12). This allows for proper disposal and, if necessary, ensures tanks are safe for personnel entry during cleaning.

Key Benefits:
-
Ensures safe handling and disposal of caustic or hazardous chemicals
-
Prepares tanks and equipment for safe manual cleaning or maintenance
-
Reduces environmental impact by controlling chemical reactions before discharge

GAMJETS
WHAT IT IS: GamaJets are high-performance rotary nozzles used in chemical cleaning applications to remove scale, sludge, and stubborn residues from tanks, vessels, and process equipment. They combine mechanical rotation with targeted chemical spray to provide thorough and efficient cleaning, even in hard-to-reach areas.
HOW IT WORKS: The nozzle spins in a 360-degree rotational pattern, directing chemical solutions under controlled pressure across the internal surfaces of the equipment. The combination of chemical action and mechanical rotation breaks down deposits and flushes them from the system, ensuring a uniform clean without requiring manual entry into confined spaces.
Key Benefits:
-
Rotating spray ensures all internal surfaces are cleaned consistently.
-
Chemical and mechanical action together remove even stubborn deposits.
-
Keeps personnel out of hazardous areas while maintaining cleaning quality.
-
Efficient rotation and spray patterns reduce downtime compared to traditional methods.
-
Effective in tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and other process systems.

Our Chemical Cleaning Process
Cascade follows a structured process to ensure safe, efficient results on every job:

Site Assessment
Our team performs a site visit and equipment walk-down to evaluate system conditions. Samples of the equipment to be cleaned are obtained, and the metallurgy of all components is verified.
Custom Cleaning Plan
With a complete lab analysis of contaminants and system conditions, we develop a tailored chemical cleaning program based on the system, fouling type, and operating requirements.

Plot Planning
All circulation points, connections, and isolation points are identified. All equipment and positions are marked on plot plans, and associated emergency equipment is also verified to ensure proper cleaning coverage.
Equipment Mobilization
Chemical units, heaters, vessels, pumps, and monitoring equipment are delivered and set up prior to the job start.
Cleaning Execution
All cleaning equipment is leak-checked before use. Chemicals are circulated, monitored, and adjusted to ensure optimal contaminant removal.

Completion and Sign-Off
Once cleaning is complete and systems are verified, the customer reviews the results and signs off on the job.
